What are interactions and how can I use them to engage attendees?

A list of all interactions and examples of how to use them in your eWebinars to collect data and keep attendees engaged.

With eWebinar, we set out to design an experience that’s fun and engaging because we were sick of boring webinars. In order to do this, we created a wide variety of Interactions for you to choose from, more than any other webinar platform.

eWebinar’s Interactions can be programmed to appear at any moment during your webinar. They help keep attendees tuned so they never miss your call-to-action at the end . They were designed to deliver an interactive experience so attendees aren't just consuming video content, they’re actively participating with it.

eWebinar users who program an Interaction to appear every 3-5 minutes are reporting watch times of 90% or more.

Use Interactions to:

  • Get attendees to share actionable feedback with you
  • Gather data about your audience for post-webinar marketing automation
  • Deliver more content on points you want to highlight
  • Drive attendees to respond to your CTA

You can use the Link Interaction to send attendees anywhere you want them to go.  

This is an easy way to connect them with high-value content like blogs, articles, and help resources.

Poll

Use the Poll Interaction to collect valuable data from your attendees about your marketing efforts, product, or service. You can also use Polls as a fun pulse check during your webinar to make sure your attendees are still engaged.

Poll results are easy to consume and decipher and can be found under Interactions or Analytics on any eWebinar's Dashboard.

2.  Which aspect of eWebinar appeals to you most?

Question

Use the Question Interaction to collect valuable information about your customer, product, or service. You can also use it to collect feedback from your customer to improve your presentation and offering.

Examples:

1.  How did you hear about our company? I’d love to say thanks to the person who referred you!

2.  Where are you joining us from today? We'd love to know!

3.  We want to know! Is there something you’d change about our product?

 

 

Quiz

Use the Quiz Interaction to find out how well attendees are absorbing the information in your webinar and to keep them awake and participating. Tally their total score, if you'd like, and show it at the end.

Special Offer

Use the Special Offer Interaction to deliver the product or service you're selling. If you like, you can set an expiry time to create a sense of urgency.

 Tip

Use the Tip Interaction to highlight points you want to draw attention to. 

Tips are also great for instructions you want to give to attendees, such as asking them to stay until the end for a webinar-only offer. 

You can also use them to share information that you may have forgotten to mention in your video.

Examples:

1. Don’t forget, we offer 24/7 support!

2. If you have questions for me during the webinar, please type them in chat.

3. Stay to the end and you’ll get a chance to sign up for our webinar-only offer.

 

SPECIAL INTERACTIONS

Agenda Item

Use our Agenda Item Anchor to build an interactive agenda for your webinar. Share with attendees what will be covered in your webinar and let them navigate to different items on the agenda by clicking them.

Contact Form

Use the Contact Form Interaction to surface high-quality leads. Attendees who fill this in are pre-qualified, pre-educated, and already interested in what you have to offer.

You can choose which email address the information goes to after submission on the back end. 

This Interaction makes a strong CTA to end your webinar with. Remember to mention it in your video to draw extra attention to the card. For example, you could say, "If you want us to reach out to you, fill in the contact form that's coming up now!"

Examples:

1.  Want to set up a one-on-one consultation? Fill in this form and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

2.  If you’d like to learn more, fill in this form and we'll reach out to set up a chat.

3.  Ready to book? Fill out this form, and we’ll contact you directly.

 

 Conversion Alerts

Conversion Alerts, when enabled, pop up at intervals during your webinar to provide social proof that others have recently decided to claim whatever offer you make in your webinar — to sign up for your service or buy your product. Conversion alerts build trust, create urgency, and increase conversions.

Feedback

With the Feedback Interaction, attendees can rate your webinar — or anything you’d like — from 1 to 5.

Examples:

1.  How did you like this webinar?

2.  How do you feel about these new features?

3.  How would you rate your current service provider?

 

 Image Overlay

Place an image anywhere over your video with our Image Overlay Interaction. You could add an ever present BUY NOW button, for example. Or create 10+ brand-dedicated trainings from a single video, make copies of the same eWebinar, add your customers' respective logos, and become a training superstar in their eyes.

In-Video Registration

Surface a registration form inside the video player when sharing links to ungated on-demand webinars or ungated replays or when using the embedded player widget.

The form may be set to appear before people start watching your webinar or at any point later on during the video. You can also choose to make registration required or optional (may be skipped).

 Next Webinar

With the Next Webinar interaction, you can promote and let attendees register for another one of your webinars from the webinar they are currently in. What better time to invite people to sign up for your next webinar when they are in the moment of feeling the value of what you offer.

There aren't really any examples for this interaction, since you simply select another one of your published eWebinars to add to the card.

Pause Video

Use our Pause video anchor to hold workshop-style webinars. Explain something, assign your audience a task, and then automatically pause the video for up to 30 minutes to give them time to complete it.

Private Message

The Private Message Interaction lets you send personalized chat messages to attendees at specific moments in your eWebinars.

They are really good for when you want to get people to chat with you who might be shy or on the fence about asking a question.

Examples:

1. Hey { first name }! I'm still here if you need me.

2. Sure you don't have questions? Let me know how I can help.

Testimonial

The Testimonial Interaction lets you share relevant customer testimonials at the precisely the right moment in your video as social proof of the value you provide and to act as evidence of the claims you have made about your product or service.

If you want, you can also link to the company website or to the full version of testimonial or case study.

Examples:

1. “My conversion rate has gone up 300%.” –Spencer Russell, Founder, Toddlers CAN Read

2. “We went from 30% to 90% attendance!” –Tom Foster, Sales Director, The Receptionist

 

INTEGRATIONS

 Collect Tips with Ko-fi

Ko-fi (pronounced kaw-fee) is like a digital tip jar. All different kinds of creators use Ko-fi to make it possible for their supporters, followers, and fans to “buy them a coffee” by sending them a cash tip online.

Ko-fi = “coffee”. Get it?

eWebinar’s new Collect tips interaction, powered by Ko-fi, lets you accept donations during your webinars from your adoring attendees.

Product Hunt Badge

Once you integrate your Product Hunt account with eWebinar, you will see a Product Hunt Interaction designed to drive people to your Product Hunt page so they can support your launch. You will also see a Product Hunt widget which you can install on your website to drive people to your eWebinar.

Thinkific Offer

Once you integrate your Thinkific account with eWebinar, you will see a Thinkific Offer Interaction in the Interactions list of your eWebinar. This Interaction is similar to the Special Offer, but it can sync with the course information from your Thinkific account so you don't have to worry about updating your eWebinar offer should any information about your course description or pricing change. Syncing is optional and can be disabled.
