Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is considered an 'active webinar'?

An 'active webinar' is simply a published webinar. Drafts of webinars do not count toward your subscription.

A single active webinar can have thousands of attendees over the course of thousands of recurring sessions every month.

For example, hundreds of people attend our on-demand sales demo each month, with multiple sessions happening every day, and yet it still only counts as one active webinar.

  • What's included in my 14-day free trial (and what are its limits?)

During your free trial, you have access to all of our standard features and to as many subscription add-ons* as you choose to enable during the trial period, at no cost.

With respect to limits during your trial, you may only publish 1 webinar and your registrant limit is set at 300.

To end your trial early and thus overcome these limits, simply publish a second webinar or click to increase your registrant limit from the My plan page.

  • What is an eWebinar?

An eWebinar is an automated webinar, set on a schedule, which combines pre-recorded video with real-time interactions and live chat to deliver a delightfully engaging experience for all who attend.

  • What is a "published" eWebinar?

A published webinar is an "active" webinar. You can set a recurring schedule for every webinar, meaning every published webinar can have as many sessions as you want per month.

  • How do eWebinar's self-adjusting pricing levels work?

eWebinar subscriptions have three pricing levels (see above) determined solely by the number of active webinars you have. Each pricing level comes with a monthly registrant limit* in the thousands, unlimited recurring sessions, unlimited team members, and all standard features.

Please keep in mind, we have a free trial but we do not have a free plan. If you have no active webinars, you will still be charged at Level 1 when your subscription renews. If you are not ready to use eWebinar, we recommend you cancel until you are.

Here is how eWebinar's self-adjusting pricing levels work:

    1. Going up a pricing level

We will never raise your pricing level without first giving you a chance to decide if that is what you want to do.

Let's say you are at Level 1 with one active webinar.  When you go to publish a second webinar, the system will warn you that doing so will cause your subscription rate to go up to Level 2.

If you decide to go ahead and publish the webinar, you will be charged immediately the difference in price between Levels 1 and 2 on a prorated basis for the time remaining in your current monthly or annual billing cycle.

Once charged, subscription upgrades are non-refundable, which means the earliest you may downgrade to a lower level is at the end of your billing cycle. (See below for how this works.)

In this particular example, you would stay at Level 2 for the remainder of the billing cycle even if you immediately unpublished your second webinar.

    2. Going down a pricing level

We will automatically lower your pricing level at the end of your monthly or annual billing cycle, as needed, to match the number of active webinars you have at the time.

Continuing the scenario from above, if you unpublished your second webinar before the end of your billing cycle, when your subscription renewed, you would be charged at Level 1, not Level 2. We take care of that for you, so you don't have to worry about it!

    * Additional monthly registrants is a subscription add-on that lets you add more registrants to your monthly limit. Scroll down to Subscription add-ons to see pricing. Please note your registrant limit is set at 300 during the free trial.

  • What happens if I hit my monthly registrant limit?

Each subscription level has a monthly registrant limit. You can see these limits at the top of this page.

During the free trial, your registrant limit is set at 300, regardless of your subscription level or how many active webinars you have.

If you hit your limit, people will no longer be able to sign up for your webinars until the beginning of the next monthly cycle, when your registrant limit resets. (We will warn you before that happens.)

If you find you need more monthly registrants than the limit allowed under your subscription level, you may purchase additional registrants in increments of 1,000. Scroll down to Subscription add-ons to learn more.

You may also end your free trial early, if you wish, to reset and increase your registrant limit.

  • How do you use eWebinar's webinar templates?

When you create a new eWebinar, you are required to start by picking a template. From there, simply customize the template as you go through the webinar creation process by updating the copy/text you find and making it your own — from the notifications to the registration pages.

NOTE: Our standard templates are the most general and require the least amount of customization.

Adapt what you like, delete what you don't like, and add anything you think is missing. The templates are meant to give you a bunch of ideas and a head start so you don't have to begin with nothing.

Specifically look for copy located between [>> brackets <<] and replace or delete it.

NOTE: When you go to publish your webinar, if there is still bracketed text somewhere that you missed, the system will warn you and tell you where to find it so you can fix it.

You may also add your logo, brand colors (one primary + one action color), and font to any template.

  • Unlimited team members? Really?!

    Yes, really. 😁

You can add as many people as you like to your team in eWebinar — at no additional cost — to help you manage your account, create your webinars, and moderate chat. Learn more

  • Does eWebinar support more languages than the 3 standard templates?

    Yes, we do!

Although there are only a handful of standard templates in different languages, eWebinar supports more than 25 languages, which means you can create an eWebinar in your language of choice by starting with any one of our existing templates and customizing it accordingly. All you need to do is change the Language on the Settings tab while creating your webinar.

Uneditable elements of your eWebinar (i.e. certain buttons, link text, etc.) will be translated for you automatically. You will then need to write the rest of the text yourself in the language of your choice. (The advantage of the standard templates that we do have in different languages – English, Spanish, and Dutch at time of writing – is that the copy has already been written for you in that language.)

Read this article on our Help Center to learn more about the languages we support and how to set things up.

NOTE: We are open to publishing new standard templates in other languages. If you are interested in having one created, contact us at support@ewebinar.com. We may ask that you help with the translation.
