"Our enterprise customers are excited that we provide eWebinar trainings for them to embed in their LMS."

Liz Luke, VP of Broker Success of zavvie

How eWebinar helped zavvie scale its enterprise training content and save teams from ‘Zoom fatigue’

Hi, Liz! Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us. Can you begin by telling me a little bit about zavvie and your role there?

Sure. I’m the VP of Broker Success at zavvie, a software technology company that provides real estate brokerages with a marketplace for buying and selling solutions via their own white-labeled platform.

What problems did zavvie struggle with before implementing eWebinar?

First and foremost, scale. Having a rapidly growing client base and having to lead white label trainings was getting complex for our broker success team and our implementation and onboarding team.

Our audience is agents, and real estate agents don’t have a set schedule. We know that taking a client call or showing a home is more important to them than watching a 30-minute live training. So eWebinar has really allowed us to scale our training and ramp up our content.

“We understand that taking a client call or showing a home is more important to agents than watching a live training. eWebinar lets them watch on their own time.”

Any time you try to do a live webinar – be it for one broker partner or an entire client base – you face challenges like internet connectivity problems, whether you can get all the guests there at the right time, time zone struggles, etc. So eWebinar has allowed us to take a step back and systemize the process and capitalize on getting feedback from the attendees that do show up.

“Live webinars always come with challenges – connectivity issues, timezone struggles, getting all the guests there at once…”

We were previously missing that element of interacting with the attendees and getting a response on whether they were enjoying the content of the webinars we were producing.

How does zavvie use eWebinar today?

It’s really scaled. I brought it on for the immediate needs of our broker success team to help with training, but we’ve found various use cases.

Our sales team is able to have sales demos prepared and have those available on-demand. They can interact with the viewers and see who’s watching, which has helped them a lot.

“Our monthly cadence of educational content has ramped up because of the ability to pre-record, get prepared, and interact.”

Then of course the broker success team has been using it for training. Our monthly cadence of educational content has really ramped up as well because of the ability to pre-record, get prepared, and interact.

We’ve even started using it for internal training, as our company is scaling; we’re growing fast and changing quickly, and have to disseminate information. I really like the ability for people to get questions answered even though it might not be live.

How were you delivering that content before eWebinar?

It was mostly done through Zoom. There was nothing wrong with Zoom, but in order to have the different elements of a webinar involved (panelists, hosts, guests, questions, polls), you have to really know what you’re doing and have a lot of parties involved to make sure it’s done right.

We still use Zoom for customized, strategic training and opportunities that aren’t ‘rinse and repeat.’

How do you decide what content you’ll deliver via Zoom, versus what to automate with eWebinar?

When it feels like we’re just saying the same thing over and over again, we use eWebinar. It’s really that; it’s replication.

Some of my clients have 4,000 agents or more, and I could lead eight live trainings to give every agent the opportunity to see the same content, or I can record one training, make it really nice, have interactions, have it moderated, and put it in eWebinar.

“I could lead eight live trainings to give every agent the opportunity to see the same content, or I can record one training, make it really nice, have interactions, have it moderated, and put it in eWebinar.”

We use Zoom when we require a more consultative approach; when it’s strategic and a conversation that’s not scripted, when it’s content specific to that training and not being repeated on a regular basis.

What are the benefits you’ve seen from using eWebinar?

Definitely higher attendance and engagement, and being able to measure the response to the content is a huge benefit.

“eWebinar has allowed us to get our content in front of a much larger audience because it’s not time restricted.”

I love the analytics dashboard. I also just love seeing not only if they registered for the webinar, but if they actually watched it. And we always ask for a rating at the end of the webinar to see how much they enjoyed it. It’s really allowed us to get our content in front of a much larger audience because it’s not restricted on time.

How do agents feel about eWebinar’s hybrid format?

To be honest, I was worried at first. I thought we’d get pushback because our moderators aren’t always quick to respond. We’re sometimes stretched thin and we might also be on live trainings while moderating an eWebinar at the same time. But there have been no complaints at all!

“I was worried we were going to get pushback from agents after implementing eWebinar, but there have been ZERO complaints!”

Our partners are excited that we’re able to provide this for them to embed in their intranet or LMS because it saves time for their training and development staff too!

“Our partners are excited that we provide eWebinars for them to embed in their intranet or LMS because it saves time for their training and development staff.”

So much to my surprise – and happiness and excitement – there’s been no glitch in the new webinar delivery.

How have you helped your team and company by implementing eWebinar?

It’s created a lot of flexibility, it’s taken the pressure off the team to be constantly prepared to deliver something live.

“I think we all have ‘Zoom fatigue’ at this point, so eWebinar has been great for my team.”

Now it’s possible for me to host a live webinar and moderate an eWebinar at the same time. It’s allowed us to scale and provide that level of onboarding, implementation, and continued support throughout our partners’ partnerships with us, without having to stretch my team members so thin.

How do you compare the content you’re putting out there now versus what you were able to do before?

Let's be serious, I think we all have a little bit of ‘Zoom fatigue’ and I don’t always want to watch a one-hour webinar when I'm looking for just one element of that webinar. So I’ve taken this approach: I have the entire webinar for people who are interested in watching it, but I’ve also broken it down into bite-sized content so they can only watch what they want to watch. So if they just want to know how to use the platform, great. I can show them. They can watch that nine-minute training versus the entire one-hour training.

What do you love most about the platform?

I love measuring the success of our webinars, and the systemization of the webinar process has really made a big difference for our team. There are a lot of members collaborating on generating the content in each webinar, but we don’t all have to collaborate at once.

“The interactions are my favorite part about eWebinar, I always ask if I can be in charge of those!”

We’re a fully remote company across multiple time zones, and people are often traveling and at conferences. So internally, trying to get all parties involved that need to work on the content is difficult at times. eWebinar has really helped us create more content, and create content that our users are telling us they like.

The interactions are my favorite part. I always ask to be in charge of those! I think it’s fun to create the interactions and it gives you a minute to sit there and think about what you can link back to (other webinars we’ve done, or our support center, etc.). We can now be so much more impactful with one webinar rather than trying to post it live.

“eWebinar lets you be so much more impactful with just one webinar. You can link back to past webinars or your support center, or anything you want!”

And having fun little pop-ups and polls really helps keep people engaged, because I’m sure we all feel that screen time can be exhausting at this point!

Who would you recommend eWebinar to?

There are so many use cases. I’d recommend it to any company that’s growing quickly, that wants to quickly scale and be able to have roll-out trainings to save time for staff. Just ask yourself if there’s something you’re repeating over and over again. If so, that could just be covered with one pre-recorded webinar with interactions and moderation.

I’d also recommend it to anyone who is adopting new technology or frequently updating their product and processes and wants to disseminate information quickly while also making sure that the people watching the webinar have the opportunity to ask questions and get those questions answered in real-time.
