How eWebinar helped CDL save hundreds of hours with 19 webinars across 11 locations

Nonprofit organizations do amazing things, often while strapped for resources. That’s why it’s important for them to choose wisely when it comes to investing in products to help them succeed.

Elizabeth Chim explains why Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), a non-profit accelerator dedicated to empowering the founders and investors of science and tech startups, chose eWebinar as its preferred platform to deliver recruiting and informational webinars around-the-clock for 11 locations across the globe, and how it freed up time for the organization’s staff to focus on other important things.

Hi, Elizabeth! Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us. Can you begin by telling me a little bit about CDL and the problems you encountered before eWebinar?

Sure. CDL is a non-profit organization that delivers an objectives-based program for massively scalable science and tech companies.

"The problem we were having before eWebinar was the sheer amount of time and resources required to run our information sessions."

The problem that we were having before implementing eWebinar was just the sheer amount of time and resources required to run our information sessions.

What were you doing before eWebinar?

CDL provides information sessions for each one of our streams that is focused on a different innovation area, and we have around 19 of those sessions. So before eWebinar, we were running 19 different webinars.

We were doing information sessions live, so we would have multiple staff members in the backend prepared to support, and then also our presenters. And this would be a lot of resources to put into one hour, for an event that we didn't know how many people would show up to. But with eWebinar, we can now run these information sessions on a weekly basis, and it's not a big deal.

"When we did information sessions live, we had multiple staff members in the backend prepared to support, as well as our presenters. That was a lot of resources to put into just one hour."

Some weeks have lower attendance rates than others, and that’s okay. We can just put effort into getting attendance all throughout the different webinars that we're running on a weekly basis, instead of putting a lot of effort into a single webinar.

What benefits have you seen since implementing eWebinar?

The main benefit of eWebinar has been the amount of hours saved across our network – literally hundreds of hours!

"We have saved hundreds of hours across our network since implementing eWebinar."

What do you love most about eWebinar?

The easy usability. I manage all of the webinar info sessions, and we have team members from across the network who monitor the chat for their specific stream webinars.

"The easy usability is what I love most about eWebinar."

It's been very easy to add them to the platform, and for them to use it very intuitively without too much training on my end.

Who would you recommend eWebinar to?

I would recommend eWebinar to any company in education service, or companies that are delivering any kind of programming. If you have information that you need to deliver on a frequent basis, eWebinar will save you a ton of time and resources.

Do you work for a science or tech startup that is looking to take things to the next level? If so, be sure to check out everything CDL has to offer!
