FomoChat integration

Replace eWebinar's chat with FomoChat's AI groupchat. Good for creating the feel of a large, social live audience.

FomoChat is an AI-driven groupchat tool. Connecting it to eWebinar lets you replace eWebinar's built-in chat with FomoChat's groupchat so attendees see a busy, social conversation alongside real messages.

This is a chat replacement integration. When you enable FomoChat on a webinar, eWebinar's built-in chat is completely replaced by FomoChat's widget for the session types you choose. See Replace eWebinar chat with a third-party tool for the per-webinar setup after the integration is connected.

Part 1 — Connect your FomoChat account

This is a one-time setup at the team level, under Profile menu → Integrations → FomoChat.

  1. Sign up for FomoChat at fomochat.com or sign in.
  2. From your FomoChat dashboard copy the API key (or chatroom ID, depending on your plan).
  3. Paste the credentials into eWebinar's FomoChat integration modal.

Paste the API key into eWebinar and click Connect.

Part 2 — Enable FomoChat on each webinar

After the integration is connected, edit any webinar and go to Settings → Chat settings. For each session type (Scheduled, Just-in-time, Replay) choose FomoChat as the chat type. Save and publish. Attendees of that session type will now see FomoChat's chat widget instead of eWebinar's.

When FomoChat replaces eWebinar chat, all of eWebinar's chat-specific features are disabled for that session type: automated messages, saved replies, chat transcripts in the attendee details pane, chat analytics, and AI moderators. You're trading eWebinar's automation for FomoChat's live-agent experience.
