Share & Widgets Feature Guide

The Share & Widgets feature provides multiple ways to distribute your webinar through shareable links (landing pages, ungated access, replays) and embeddable widgets for websites. You can control registration requirements, track performance, and customize access points to match different use cases from lead generation to low-friction training distribution.

The Share and Widgets pages are where you control how people access your webinar.

They include:

  • Links you can share anywhere
  • Widgets you can embed on your site or product

Together, these define all the ways someone can enter your webinar.

Share links

The Share page is where you generate links to your webinar.

How it works

For most links:

  1. Choose a link
  2. Copy and share it

For the webinar room test link:

  1. Choose the webinar room test link
  2. Click Launch test room

The first time, you may be prompted to generate a test attendee. After that, you can launch directly.

Landing page link

What it is
A link to your webinar registration page, either your built-in eWebinar landing page or your custom landing page.

Best for

  • Standard registration flows
  • Sales and marketing funnels

This is the most common way to capture new leads before access.

Replay registration link

What it is
A variation of the landing page link that pre-selects the replay session.

Functionally similar to the standard landing page link.

Ungated link: On-demand webinar

What it is
A link that allows someone to start watching immediately without being required to register first.

Best for

  • Low-friction access
  • Training and onboarding
  • Content-driven distribution

Registration can still be introduced later through interactions or chat.

Ungated link: Replay

What it is
A link to a replay session that allows immediate access.

Best for

  • Follow-ups
  • Retargeting campaigns
  • Re-engaging viewers

Registration can still be introduced during the webinar.

Webinar room test link

What it is
A link used to preview and test the webinar room experience.

Not intended for external distribution.

Sharing on social

Each link can also be shared directly to:

  • Facebook
  • X (Twitter)
  • LinkedIn

This generates a post using your landing page link.

The preview (image, title, description) is pulled from your social sharing card.

Social sharing card

The social sharing card defines how your webinar appears when shared.

It includes:

  • Image
  • Title
  • Description

Where it’s used

This content is used in:

  • Social media previews
  • Messaging apps (Slack, iMessage, etc.)
  • The Share All page (webinar directory)
  • Webinar series pages
  • Card and box widgets
  • The embedded player (image used as thumbnail before playback)

Share All page: Webinar directory

eWebinar provides a built-in page that lists all your published webinars.

This is your webinar directory, accessible from the homepage.

  • Displays webinars in alphabetical order
  • Uses your social sharing card content

Hiding a webinar from the directory

This setting is controlled per webinar.

Use “Do not show this webinar on the Share All page” on that webinar’s Share page.

Series landing page link

If you are using a webinar series:

What it is
A link to the landing page for that series.

Where it’s found
On the Share page for the series.

Only relevant when using webinar series.


Widgets: Embedded access points

Widgets allow you to place your webinar directly into your website or product.

How widgets work

  1. Choose a page type
    • Registration
    • Thank you
  2. Select a widget
    • Form, button, pop-up, card, etc.
  3. Configure widget settings
    • Behavior, access, and registration
  4. Copy the widget code
  5. Embed it on your page

Tracking widget performance

All widgets support a widget source field.

This tracks which widget a registrant used and is stored in registrant or session data.


Registration and entry widgets

Embedded form

What it is
A form placed directly on a page for registration.

Where it’s used
Landing pages, blog posts, custom landing pages.

When to use it

  • Standard registration flows
  • SEO or content-driven pages
  • Simple lead capture

Key settings

  • Form fields: name and email only or full registration form
  • Hide sessions dropdown to reduce friction
  • Hide consent checkbox to simplify the form

Common pattern: Simplified form

  • Name and email only
  • Hide sessions dropdown
  • Hide consent checkbox

Creates the fastest registration experience.

Important note

All ungated experiences can be turned into gated experiences by adding in-video registration at 0:00.

Button widget

What it is
A clickable button that opens your webinar registration flow.

Where it’s used
Custom landing pages.

When to use it

  • Primary registration call to action
  • Clear actions such as “Register now”

Key settings

  • Form rendering speed: standard or fast

Fast improves load speed but requires reinstalling the widget if webinar settings change.

Common pattern

  • Primary CTA on a custom landing page

Fixed bar widget

What it is
A bar fixed to the bottom of the page that remains visible as users scroll.

Where it’s used
Custom landing pages.

When to use it

  • Ensure a registration option is always visible
  • Support long-form pages

  • Form rendering speed: standard or fast

Fast improves load speed but requires reinstalling the widget if webinar settings change.

  • Persistent CTA at the bottom of a landing page

What it is

What it is

  • Session type: ungated on-demand or ungated replay

Thank you widgets

These appear immediately after registration.

Thank you button widget

What it is
A dynamic button based on the session the user just registered for.

Behavior

  • Go to session now (on-demand)
  • Watch replay now (replay)
  • Add to calendar (scheduled session)

What it is
A card-style version of the thank you button.
