If moderators are responsible for showing up in chat during live sessions, eWebinar can send them a reminder 15 minutes before each session starts.
Enable the reminder
- Open the webinar editor and go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to Chat settings.
- Toggle on Send email 15 minutes before a session starts.
Who gets the reminder
All users on your team with the Moderator or Editor role get the email 15 minutes before a session starts, provided they haven't muted the webinar in their notification preferences. It goes to everyone, not just assigned moderators, so that coverage is never dependent on a single person remembering.
Which session types trigger it
- Scheduled (Recurring / One-time / Specific date-times): yes, 15 minutes before each scheduled start.
- Just-in-time sessions: no, these start on demand and there's no 15-minute-ahead window.
- On-demand only: no, these play whenever the visitor clicks and don't have a session start.
If you're running just-in-time sessions, use the chat-message arrival notifications (email-on-chat-receive) for real-time coverage instead.
