eChat does not have its own login screen. You get into eChat through your eWebinar account, and the moment you sign in, your eWebinar team becomes your eChat team automatically — same login, same teammates, same account.
That means there is nothing extra to set up before you can start building agents. If you already have an eWebinar account, you already have an eChat account. If you invite someone to your eWebinar team, they can use eChat too, without a second invite.
This article covers how sign-in works and how team roles and permissions carry over, so you know where to actually manage who has access.
Signing In
What it is
eChat sign-in is your eWebinar sign-in. There is no separate eChat password, no separate signup form, and no separate login page to remember.
How it works
You sign in with the same eWebinar login you already use. Once you're signed in, your eWebinar team is recognized automatically and you land on Your Agents, showing whatever agents your team has already built. There's no account-linking step, no "connect your eWebinar account" prompt, and nothing to authorize — the connection is automatic because eChat and eWebinar share the same underlying account.
If you're signed out, you'll be sent to sign in the normal eWebinar way before you can use eChat.
Best practices
- If you ever need to reset your password or change your login email, do it from your eWebinar account settings — there's no separate eChat password to reset.
- Treat your eWebinar login as the key to both products. Use a strong, unique password, since it now protects your chat agents and training material as well as your webinars.
- Don't share a single login between multiple people. Add each person as their own teammate instead — see team roles and permissions below.
Team Roles and Permissions
What it is
eChat uses the role each person holds on your eWebinar team. There's no separate permission system inside eChat to configure — the role is picked up from eWebinar when the person signs in.
How it works
eChat has no team invite screen of its own. To give someone access, you invite them to your eWebinar team the normal way, through your eWebinar account settings. Once they're on the team, they can sign into eChat and see the same agents everyone else on the team sees.
In eChat, those roles map to three levels of access:
- Admin - full access, including billing: changing your plan, buying credits, adding extra agent slots, and managing Subscription at
/settings/subscription(older/settings?section=…links redirect there). - Creator - can create, edit, and delete any agent, but can't manage billing.
- Editor and Moderator - can view all agents, create new ones, and edit any agent, but can only delete agents they created themselves. No billing access.
Note that eChat editing is open to the whole team: even a Moderator in eWebinar can change any agent's instructions and training in eChat. Removing someone from your eWebinar team removes their eChat access too, with no separate step to remember. See Team Roles & Permissions for more detail.
On Pro and higher plans, account API Keys are managed at /settings/api-keys. Those keys are for the standalone API; agents linked to eWebinar don't use them, because eWebinar connects to your agent through its own managed moderator connection.
Best practices
- Manage access in one place: your eWebinar team settings. That's the single source of truth for both products, so there's nothing to keep in sync.
- Only give the Admin role to people who should also be able to change eChat's plan, add paid agent slots, or buy credits — those controls sit under the same permission.
- Because every teammate can edit agents, agree as a team on who owns each agent's instructions and training.
- When someone leaves your organization, remove them from your eWebinar team once. You don't need to separately revoke eChat access — it's covered by the same change.
- Review your eWebinar team list periodically rather than looking for a team page inside eChat — there isn't one, by design.
