Drift integration

Replace eWebinar's built-in chat with Drift on any session type. Requires your Drift App ID and a paid Drift plan for concurrent conversations.

eWebinar's integration with Drift lets you replace eWebinar's built-in chat with Drift's live-agent chat widget.

This is a chat replacement integration. When you enable Drift on a webinar, eWebinar's built-in chat is completely replaced by Drift's widget for the session types you choose. See Replace eWebinar chat with a third-party tool for the per-webinar setup after the integration is connected.

Part 1 — Connect your Drift account

This is a one-time setup at the team level, under Profile menu → Integrations → Drift.

  1. Sign up for Drift or sign in to an existing account.
  2. In Drift, go to Settings → App Settings → Drift Widget.
  3. Click Install and then JavaScript.
  4. At the bottom of the code block find drift.load('<APP ID>') and copy the ID between the quotes.
  5. Paste the App ID into eWebinar's Drift integration modal.

Paste the App ID into eWebinar and click Connect.

Part 2 — Enable Drift on each webinar

After the integration is connected, edit any webinar and go to Settings → Chat settings. For each session type (Scheduled, Just-in-time, Replay) choose Drift as the chat type. Save and publish. Attendees of that session type will now see Drift's chat widget instead of eWebinar's.

When Drift replaces eWebinar chat, all of eWebinar's chat-specific features are disabled for that session type: automated messages, saved replies, chat transcripts in the attendee details pane, chat analytics, and AI moderators. You're trading eWebinar's automation for Drift's live-agent experience.
